You guys are missing it. The main mast is the aft mast. I know about the fore mast light. The board of trade information is correct. For some reason the Titanic did not have a light mounted on the main mast or built into the mast, like the BOT regulated. The smaller, lower lights on the main mast on each side are for docking. There are survivors accounts of one last light that flickered in the air after the lights went out for good. This is probably the oil light. I just wonder where it was attached.
