Hey, hey! I didn't mean my post as a put-down of Al or the company! This made up word thing or using a noun for a verb is common these days.
I was just commenting on how I usually feel about it!
Some others that get me but that I am used to or have developed a tolerance for: they're, their and there. your and you're. And less often: to, too and two. However, none of this holds true when English is obviously not the person's first language -- it is hard enough for we (us?) English speakers to try to get it right. I admire anyone with English as a second language who even makes an attempt to converse in it! 8-)
Hey, Al, *accurized* is not too bad. I can't think of anything better that wouldn't take a lot of words! Let's see... improved? upgraded? new? revised? corrected? partially fixed? Nah, none of those quite cut it. LOL! 8-0

: : I guess while we're on the subject, my pet peeve is "leverage" used as a verb, as in "we need to leverage our knowledge". Friggin' corporate-speak. Oops, that's probably another one. Besides, I'm one of 'em more or less.
: : Also, why does EVERYONE on the web spell the word loser, "LOOSER"?
: : Anyway, "accurize" was coined a few years ago by some modeller somewhere. It's gotten to be a common term. Check out any issue of Fine Scale Modeller from the last couple of years. Minicraft wasn't the first. That doesn't make it alright, but don't blame them.
: : Frankly, I don't like the word either, but we spent weeks pondering how to describe the improvements in a short and concise manner. To those who commented, please let us have your suggestions for the soon to be printed all new box for the deluxe version of the kit. This is the box with Ken Marschall's painting on the face of the box. Thanks.
