I just received my set of Robert Hahn's 1/350 scale
Titanic plans and they are terrific! The skill and
attention to detail evident in these drawings are
some of the finest I've ever seen. Virtually no
detail is left uncovered with multiple views of
every vent, crane, davit, and other fitting. The
rigging plan is thorough as is the hull plating
detail. Every side of every deckhouse is shown
in painstaking detail.
I was happy to find out that my own built-up
model's vent layout matched Mr. Hahn's drawings
almost perfectly, so at least I won't have to make
any major changes there. And I was also pleased to
see that the officer's quarters' window layout on
the Minicraft kit very closely matches the drawings
as well. There was evidently some advice given in
the past that the Minicraft officer's quarters
windows need major re-arranging, but unless these
plans are in error, I only found one noticeable
item out of place. Maybe there are others, but I
couldn't find them.
Anyone starting out on a Minicraft kit will
find these plans a wonderful resource to work
from. It'll be easy to make corrections as you
go when you have the drawings at your side.
