To All:
Something seems missing in all of the fantastic work that has been put in by everyone the past few months. The people that have done so much work here have not been given credit that I can see from those outside of this web site.
For instance: Shouldn't a guy like Robert Ballard personally thank people like Robert Hahn, Bruce Beveridge, Bill Mengot, Bob Read and all the rest of those who have put in HOURS increasing our knowledge of the Titanic? These people know as much or more about the Titanic than he and his cronies know but I haven't seen any thanks from any of them for all of the promoting the guys here have done for the lore of the Titanic. What gives? Where is the thanks from them?
Or what about the recent discussion of White Ensign claiming to have an up-to-date version of the Titanic? I don't see and of those people coming over here to talk to us or thank all of these guys here for all the investigation and knowledge-updating they have done. They ought to take a serious look at Bruce's and Robert's plans and use the knowledge that is floating around this website. So where are they? Not here, that is for sure.
Also, what do you think H&W would say if they saw Bruce's and Robert's newest plans? I bet their eyes would pop!
And this exhibition of the Titanic that people are going to see, did any of those people talk to Bruce, Bob, Robert, Bill or anyone else who knows their "stuff" over here? I guess they didn't, did they? Why not?
We have people at this website who have incredible knowledge of everything related to the Titanic. Sure, everyone does it for the love of the hobby, but I cannot understand why those people making money off of the Titanic are not over here thanking everyone involved at this website. This website is what keeps the "mystique" of Titanic alive. Don't they know that?
At least there are guys like Al Trendle and Loren Perry who make Titanic-related products and actually listen to what is said here, but guys like them seem to be the exception.
So, what do we do about letting the "outside world" (outside of this website) know about the knowledge and new information that is overflowing at this website? Guys like Bruce and all the rest I mentioned should not go unmentioned, particularly by those making a buck off of the Titanic.
I wish I could personally go to guys like Robert Ballard and all the rest and sit them down at this website. I think they would learn a thing or two.
