: After seeing some of youall's work, I thought someone might have some insight on how to keep the rigging tight after the model has aged? With the climate changes here, in the winter it stays tight, and in the summer it gets real loose! Any sugestions? HELP!

Bob Read uses fine (copper?) wire I believe like the kind you find in speakers and electronics.

Many of us use nylon monofilament fishing line in the 4lb test (most rigging) and 10lb test (funnel guy wires) and 2lb test (funnel painter lines). When I installed all rigging at the END of the building procedure I ran my wife's hair dryer over it to make the lines taut. Heat on high but held far enough away as to not melt small parts or lines. You can see them tightening.

If you are using the kit thread (which we recommend to modelrs NOT to use) try using fishing fly tiers wax on the threads or a clear nail polish hardener. Kristal Klear might also work but I have not tried that.

With these methods you should have lines that stay tight.
