Anyone interested in modern day safety measures on ships , would greatly benefit in reading the report by the Finnish enquiry commission into the sinking of the Estonia , which cost 852 lives in september 94 .
Go to the conclusions (the report is more than 300 pages but contains great plans ) : today as ever , even more than at the time of the Titanic , it's money before lives .
Keeping fingers crossed on my next cruise ...
Regards .
