For thos wondering, here's what such a set would
include:

Complete etched brass replacements for the following
Minicraft parts, reading in order of their appearance
in the current Minicraft instruction booklet:

J19 & J20, J25, aft sections of H6 & H7, J28A & B,
J36 (rear), J13A & B, J37A & B, lower part of J39,
Promenade Deck Walls L & R, J7, G10A & B, H20A & B,
J30 (to be made straight, not curved) H10 & H11,
J29, J34, H13 & H14, left & right ends of G18, J5,
J6, H12, H27, I8 & I9, J38, G29A & B.

These parts would be relief-etched in brass
leaving raised window frames and door frames. The
doors can be provided as separate pieces so modelers
can have the option of positioning some of them open.
An instruction sheet would be provided.

There are a few other parts that have only round
portholes or plain rectangular windows with no
fancy frames (ie. the outer bridge windows) or
that would require considerable surgery to install,
so I'm not including these. The parts I'm considering
would be mostly one-for-one replacements for the
plastic parts with only minimal bending and/or
shaping required. The brass used would probably be
in the area of .013" thick or more so as to give
the walls sufficient thickness when etched down to
half gauge (leaving the window and door frames at
full thickness.) Horizontal handrails could be
etched into the walls if enough of you would want
this. Otherwise, I could leave them off and you
could make your own from wire or stretched sprue.
Or maybe (this is a BIG maybe) I could etch locater
holes in the bulkheads and include pre-sized handrails
to be installed into these holes by the modeler.
But at this thickness, getting a precise hole diameter
and handrail thickness might be tricky. It would add
little or nothing to the cost. But they would have
to be on the same sheet, so if the sheet thickness
is .013", the rails would be about 4-1/2 scale inches
thick. If this is acceptable, let me know.
