The assembly on the production version is much
easier. Remember, what you have (and what the photo
show) is a pre-production early test piece. The
final version is much easier to build.

But I already have! But only to make assembly
easier and to lower the parts count. The double
davit assemblies now have only four parts and the
single davit units just three.

It gives a hint of what the davits will look
like. There is a lot more detailing not visible
in the photo, such as the rack "teeth" at the bottom
of the base where the lower quadrants of the davit
arms engage. Sort of a little surprise I included
for the "rivet counters" among us. The orders are
starting to come in now, so we should see a number
of really nice models starting to appear. I'm going
to retrofit my model with these new davits while
making a few other corrections that I've learned
about since I built it.
