I know of a spray paint by testors called "Boyd Red", it may work, however I think it is gloss, and maybe a little too dark. What I use for myself, is a model-railroad paint called "Rock Island Maroon", it is made by PollyScale. It is in a bottle, what i did for easy and quick results was to apply it with an airbrush, it turned out great, hope it helps!
