No, the Gold metal parts are not plastic but brass. Click the Gold Metal link on the main page if you desire to see a picture. The parts are more to scale and you will find that using these parts is much different that using plastic. As stated on these pages before, using gold metal fittings with CA glue is a whole new ballgame. However, if you want your model to stand out from the rest, use the gold metal parts. They are will worth it.
