How do you model rust marks and coal stains on scale models? I thought about using a cloth to apply paint but I'm not sure. I want to a) Eventually add rust marks below the anchors on my new Titanic and b) Give my Britannic a realistic coal dust colouring, on photos it appears to be absolutely filthy.
