The previous question about newspaper photos brought to mind a question I have had but never asked. In Eaton and Haas "Titanic: Triumph and Tragedy" there are several photos that I have never seen in any other publications. They are credited to the Hampshire Advertiser. The subject matter of the photos is very interesting but the quality of the reproductions is not very good. In fact, it almost looks like the reproductions in the book were taken from an actual newspaper photo rather than from an original negative.
Does anyone know about these photos and whether the original negatives still exist?
