I found this little tidbit in my local newspaper and figured I'd pass it along.
Metallurgist Timothy Foecke has a one-hour video describing why the Titanic sank so quickly. Foecke and his researchers are working on the theory that there was too much slag in the ship's rivits (not exactly new news).
